Hello, Paqui!
ResponderEliminarDon’t be scared! Spanish schools are better than you imagine. Guess why!
I study in the IES Bembézar, a public school. It is big, and beautiful!
We start at 8.25 and we finish at 14.30. It’s a total of six lessons and twelve subjects. We have one break every two lessons, so we have two breaks in total. The school is big because there are more than 1000 students, although I don't know exactly.
If you go to school, you will probably love it because we don’t learn only, too the institute organizes activities and games on special occasions like Christmas, Halloween, etc. Also, we do trips. This year, we will probably go to Granada, to ski and play in the snow. But others courses go to others cities. Finally, I want to remind you that this school and others Spanish schools are very cool, I like very much because I learn lots of things and usually, we do activities all the teachers and the students.
I hope you don’t be nervous with the Spanish schools!!
Goodbye!
Misha.
Hi Paqui!
ResponderEliminarI am very happy to help you with your exchange trip! In Spain there are many types of schools, but I will talk about my school. It’s quite big, and we have about six hours of class in total. My school day starts at 8:30 am, and we have two hours of class before a forty minute break. After that, we have another two hours of class, before a fifteen minute break. After those classes, I have my last two lessons of the day, and I finish school at 2:30 pm. We have many different classes to take, like French, English, Music, Art or Maths! I really enjoy learning new things every day. We also have other lessons, like Geography and Biology. These are really fun! When I get back home, I have lunch and then do my homework. My school doesn’t really have any after school clubs, but I do go to a Music School in my town. I have lessons every day, and I play the flute. This helps me disconnect from school work, and enjoy my afternoon. In my opinion, my school is very nice, and I enjoy spending time with my classmates and teachers, learning lots of new things.
I hope that this information helps you in your trip!

This is a picture of my school!

Hi Paqui!! What guess
ResponderEliminarI respond to your comment to give you some information about Spanish schools.
In Spain you can study in a public school, in a private one or in a subsidized school. Most schools are public.
The school where I am studying is located in a rural area in the South of Extremadura (Spain). It starts at half past eight and finishes at half past two. I have six lessons every day in the morning. I have two lessons and a 30 minutes break, two lessons and a 15 minutes break and two lessons before we go to our homes . The lessons last 53 minutes. I have twelve signatures.
My school has a library and a café . You can play games , do homework , study and read at the library .In the café , you can buy snacks , water and a few more things.
There are two playgrounds and a gym. There is an entrepreneurship classroom and a classroom of the future.
In my town there are no school clubs, there are other activities such as sports, academies , music that are not related to school.
In my opinion, my school is very large and the building is old. It is still good but there are things to reform. There are places where you could do more things. I don't like my class this year because it is small and is very rare. The timetable is good and the distribution of subjects is equitable.
I hope this information will be useful for you.
Best regards.
Canelita
Hello, Paqui! I want to help you with all things. Our school is fantastic. In my class the timetables are very good, we have 11 subjects and we only have class in the morning. We are 6 hours at school but we have 45 minutes of rest. There are many after school clubs like paint class, academy of many subjects and many more things. Also, we can do sports. For example, I do handball and I have training 6 hours a week. In my opinion the school is very enjoyable because there is time for many things. You learn a lot when you study but you also do activities to have fun with your classmates.
ResponderEliminarI hope I can help you. Bye!

Hello Paqui! You don’t really have to worry about it, I’m sure that you’re going to feel comfortable here. I’m going to tell you a little bit about my school.
ResponderEliminarI go to a public high school in Azuaga, a town in Extremadura. Its name is I.E.S. Bembézar. It’s not a boarding school, so we sleep at home. We start lessons at 8.30 in the morning. We have two lessons, a break, two more lessons, another break and two final lessons. So, we have 6 lessons everyday. I’m in third grade and we have 11 subjects. My favorite subjects are Maths and Chemistry. We don’t have lessons in the afternoon. But in my town, there are some “after-school clubs” like music, academic clubs and sports clubs.
My opinion about my school is that it’s a very comfortable place for teenagers. I’m very happy to be here because I love my classmates and my teachers. Also, we sometimes go on excursions to other cities, visit monuments, theaters, museums, historic places…
You’ll have fun here!
Good luck!

I attend a public high school. Lessons start at 8:30 AM and finish around 2:30 PM, with two short breaks. We study some interesting subjects like Math, Spanish, English, Science and PE. Moreover, older students can choose some subjects.
